Meet the guy who broke Tonto Dikeh's heart

Tonto Dikeh a few days back poured her heart out on Twitter, sharing a recent heartbreak she suffered (See it HERE). I've been digging (yes, it's my business lol) and finally found out the guy who broke the star's heart. His name is Caporahvenwah Okolie, popularly known as Chief Capo (pictured above with Tonto).

Chief Capo is an international model, rapper, singer and the CEO of G-Muzik Entertainment. He shuttles between his home in Atlanta and the one here in Nigeria.

Capo and Tonto have been dating quietly off and on since 2010 after he relocated to Nigeria that year to set up his music business. His mum is South African and his dad is Igbo. See more after the cut..

Don't know for sure what led to their break up but insiders claim it had something to do with 'other women'
"2G (Capo) always has a lot of attractive females around him because he's rich and very good looking and Tonto wasn't comfortable with it and basically couldn't handle it anymore. They would fight all the time about it and she also recently caught him with another woman which is what caused the breakup. I know they are both heart broken and miss each other, and yes it is true he did write and record the song Booski Lover for her." The insider told me

Like Tonto, the G-Music Entertainment boss also Tweeted about a recent break up. Capo is currently in Atlanta cooling off since the break up. Listen to the song he supposedly wrote for Tonto HERE.

“EME is my family”: The new Y! Magazine speaks exclusively to Wizkid on his struggles, fame & the future

“EME is still my family”: The new Y! Magazine speaks exclusively to Wizkid on his struggles, fame & the future

The March 2013 issue of Y! magazine is out! This edition is covered by artiste and new record label owner Wizkid – in an interview by Adedoyin Jaiyesimi and photos by Kelechi Amadi-Obi. Wizkid is styled by Tiannah Styling’s Toyin Lawani.

“As this magazine went to print, the rumours were just about confirmed in public and sources had certainly confirmed in private,” said Chude Jideonwo, its editor-in-chief. “The amazing talent powerhouse called Wizkid had aggressively parted ways with EME, the label powered by Banky W - interesting news in light of what he told us only weeks before.”

In the cover story titled ‘No kidding’, Wizkid speaks frankly about his background, the history of his music, the evolution of his sound and the people who have made him what he is now – including former manager Osagie Osarenkhoe and Empire Mates Entertainment boss Banky W.

The shoot was anchored by the iconic Kelechi Amadi-Obi, with styling by Toyin Lawani of Tiannah Styling.

As always, Y! magazine – reputed as “high priest of the youth culture” – is a fine mishmash of the trending topics for young Nigerians; in lifestyle, pop culture, fashion and a journey through the issues.

There are interviews with Tinsel’s Linda Ejiofor, Moet Abebe, Seyi Shay, Uru Eke, Ms. Jaie and others. As well as ‘Generation to Generation’ conversation with former ministerial nominee and executive director of the Sahara Group, Tonye Cole.

In addition, the magazine presents its annual ‘New Establishment’ list, profiling the most promising young Nigerians across the world – under the age of 35.

“Wizkid is, ultimately, just one of 50 young people below 35 carefully selected by our team of curators,” Jideonwo said. “As always our New Establishment list profiles young people who aren’t red carpet fixtures or necessary celebrities, but who define the spirit of the age and are set to shine in 2013.

And don’t miss Y!’s annual Sexiest list! The 2013 list features Africa’s Sexiest Man Alive and Africa’s Sexiest Women Alive – and the editors have a blast thinking and talking through bodies, torsos and all that beauty!

Y! is available in stores and from vendors across the country. It is also available at all House of Tara Stores in Lagos, Abuja, Ilorin, Port-Harcourt, Benin, Kano, Ibadan and Kaduna and with Y! campus representatives in 19 states.

You can also pay for the magazine with your mobile phone and have it delivered to you at no extra charge.

Darey was LIVE at the Nigerian Idol competition this weekend as a guest judge and performer. And the studio audience went wild as the ‘Love like a Movie’ star gave an electrifying performance of some of his hit songs at the past week’s performance show.

Hot off his concert hosted by US reality television star Kim Kardashian, he lit
the stage and the show up, performing three of his biggest hits: ‘Asiko’ followed by ‘Sisi Eko (the remix)’ and finally rounded it off with a dazzling performance of his popular single ‘Style Na Style’. He was also a tough judge on the show, and was unafraid to tell the contestants their good, bad and ugly.

When asked by the Nigerian Idol host IllRymz what he expected from the contestants, he said he was looking forward to seeing them perform. Whose performance did Darey call “soulful” and whom did he tell he expected to see “more musicianship at this stage”? Catch the back episodes on www.youtube.com/NigerianIdol.

7 fashion tips with you

  1. If you get an oil stain on your favorite handbag, coat the mark with baby powder and let it stand overnight. By morning, the stain should be gone. If a bit still remains, repeat the process until the stain is completely gone.
  2. “Always organize your clothes going light to dark from left to right in your closet. Your eye will follow the color and thus help you stay organized.” — Melanie Charlton Fascitelli
  3. To clean dirt off suede, remove the crust from a piece of bread and allow it to become stale. Gently rub dirt and stains with the edge of the stale bread, and they’ll disappear. To de-scuff suede, use an eraser or nail file.
  4. To stretch tight shoes, fill two freezer bags with water and place into each shoe. Let it freeze overnight. As the water freezes, it’ll gently expand your shoes.
  5. The best at-home method to keep diamonds sparkling: liquid dishwasher detergent and an old toothbrush.
  6. Dressy occasions are not the time to play with trends, so know your silhouette and stick to it to always look your best.
  7. “Never put a garment on immediately after ironing, as this can actually cause new wrinkles to form. Instead, let it sit for five minutes to set the press.”
